Carol was Born in Southern California. She attended the University of California, Irvine (UCI) from 1987-1991, UCI School of Medicine from 1991-1995, and completed her residency through the University of Washington family medicine program in Spokane (1995-98). She then moved to Missoula where she gained employment at Community Medical Center, running a full spectrum family medicine practice, including delivering babies, until 2004. Later, her skills were broadened as she was recruited into the ER and Fast Track where she worked until 2007. That same year she co-founded CostCare as a single urgent care with her partner Lesley VonEschen, PA-C. As time progressed, they expanded the model into two full urgent care centers and one family practice in Missoula and one in Helena, Montana. She is also the medical director and chief of staff for the critical access hospital in Townsend, Montana. She has five kids and loves Montana and the lifestyle it offers.
